A shocking incident in Kirinyaga County has left residents in disbelief and triggered protests after a man identified as Gachoka allegedly attacked and severely injured another man, Muthii, over a Ksh.50 debt.
According to reports, the confrontation turned violent when Gachoka demanded repayment, but Muthii allegedly delayed settling the small amount. In a fit of rage, Gachoka is said to have pulled Muthii aside and mutilated his private parts in a brutal attack.
Muthii was rushed to the hospital in critical condition. Medical staff confirmed that he had suffered deep cuts to his scrotum, and his testes were exposed, but doctors managed to perform emergency surgery to save him.
Speaking from his hospital bed, Muthii narrated the harrowing ordeal and urged police to ensure that Gachoka is arrested and held accountable. He also appealed for justice and requested that the attacker be compelled to pay his hospital bills.
The incident has sparked outrage in the community, with locals calling for swift action against the suspect and greater efforts to curb rising cases of violence over petty disputes in the region.
