Esther Akoth, commonly known as Akothee, has been generating buzz on social media with her upcoming wedding. As she eagerly awaits her big day next month, the musician and businesswoman has been showcasing her stunning “white” wedding dress on Instagram. To add some excitement, Akothee traveled to France to purchase the gown of her dreams, which came with a hefty price tag of Ksh 692,792.94.
The dress, which was purchased from Mery’s Couture, a Switzerland-based high-end fashion designer, is an elegant Autumn white lace fishtail dress adorned with Swarovski stones. Akothee shared photos of the dress on social media and even joked that she wants to be buried in it when the time comes.
In typical Akothee fashion, she did not shy away from flaunting her purchase and shared that she even paid for the dress to fly first class alongside her. Despite the cost of the gown, Akothee revealed that she considers it a perfect birthday gift for herself and that she had to attend three fittings to find the perfect fit.
Akothee’s fairytale wedding is scheduled for Easter Monday, the 10th of April, at the Windsor Gardens. Her fiancé, a Swiss man nicknamed Mr. Omosh, was introduced to her by a mutual friend named Pius. With her expensive wedding dress and dreamy wedding location, Akothee’s big day is sure to be a glamorous affair.
