That’s the case with Elvis Aluzimbi, (a Kenyan citizen) and Marilyn Miller (an American resident) who married despite growing up in very different backgrounds and countries.
The love story of Elvis and Marilyn is quite inspirational as their union clearly depicts that the power of love is strong even across the boundaries.

Elvis Aluzimbi, who is now the husband to Marilyn was born in the western region of Kenya. However as soon as he grew to an adult, Aluzimbi left western region for Nairobi to look for greener pastures.
While in the capital city, he was lucky to get a job opportunity at a construction site in Thika. Here he developed into certain habits such as clubbing and drug abuse.
Luckily, ‘he saw the light’ and got saved in 2015 where he vowed to give his life to Christ.
On the other hand, his wife Marilyn Miller grew up Amish (a community at Ohio) in the United States of America.
As an Amish, she was among the traditional christian group that is well known for using horse and buggy transportation as a means of transport. In addition, the community isn’t allowed to used electricity despite being USA residents.
Let’s now shift our focus to Marilyn. She was the oldest of the 6 children in her family and this geared her to be more responsible in life.

Education wise, Marilyn Miller was lucky enough to only finish her class 8 studies and that was that as she didn’t go to secondary school.
How Marilyn Miller met Elvis Aluzimbi
Elvis who has been saved had started to do some jobs (such as a chef) for certain organizations. He was also a missionary as he traveled across different places in Kenya in collaboration with organizations to help needy children.
Also, on the other side Marilyn who was brought up a in a Christian setting was eager to do some missionary work.
Luckily some of her friends were in the same field and this gave her a boost as used the opportunity to travel abroad.
In 2019, in her first missionary job, Marilyn and the group traveled to Kenya and that when she met her husband to be, Elvis Aluzimbi.
Sadly, together with the missionary group, Marilyn Miller traveled back to the United States of America and this made her to almost shed a tear.
A hand in marriage
In the following year (2020), Marilyn came back to Kenya but with a different group. It was at this time she became a friend to Elvis as she helped him in kitchen (where he was cooking for the organization).
During the same year, Elvis asked Marilyn a hand in marriage as they traveled to Makueni for a mission. Thereafter, things went well as their relationship got even stronger but after 3 months Marilyn left for USA.
Long distance relationship
They stayed in touch as their love was only getting better as each day passed. The love birds made sure that they called or messaged each other everyday.
Now, it came a time when they had to inform both their families about the relationship but one family wasn’t happy happy.

According to Marilyn some people close to her weren’t happy with her association with an African which is against the norm of their community.
Leaving USA to marry a Kenyan
After one year in USA, Marilyn traveled back to Kenya with only one thing in mind and that’s to marry her lover.
The two tied the knot in Kenya where they now reside together. Her marriage to the Kenyan man met some criticism to the point of some friends laughing at her.
The couple now, runs an organization with an aim to help needy children from the vulnerable communities in Kenya.
