What was meant to be an exciting outdoor adventure has turned into a life-changing tragedy for a young Kenyan woman who was severely injured during a ziplining session at the popular Last Village Lodge.
According to videos and posts circulating widely on social media, the woman revealed that the accident occurred while she was ziplining at the facility, leaving her with a broken spine. The devastating injury has now rendered her paralyzed, drastically altering her life.
The woman narrated that immediately after the accident, she expected The Last Village Lodge to take responsibility, offer medical support, and follow up on her condition since the incident happened on their premises. However, she claims the management never reached out, never checked on her recovery progress, and has not taken any responsibility for what happened.
She says her spinal cord was completely damaged, and despite the severity of her injuries, she has received no assistance, compensation, or support from the lodge.
The young lady is now appealing to authorities, human rights organizations, and well-wishers to help her seek justice. She insists that she deserves compensation, citing that the injury is life-altering and that it is “by God’s grace” she is still alive.
Her heartbreaking story has caused public outrage online, with many Kenyans demanding accountability from the facility and calling for stricter safety checks in recreational adventure parks.
