Nairobi County’s Chief Environment Officer, Geoffrey Mosiria, recently stepped in to help two women during a night patrol operation targeting noise pollution from nightclubs.
A video making rounds on social media shows Mosiria confronting a man involved in a disagreement with two women outside a popular entertainment spot. The patrol was part of the county’s ongoing efforts to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
In the footage, tensions escalated when the officer noticed the altercation. One of the women was heard expressing frustration, while Mosiria questioned the man’s actions.
“Why are you beating a woman?” Mosiria asked the man during the confrontation.
Although the women initially defended the man, Mosiria remained firm, questioning their safety and the man’s behavior.
According to a statement from his office, the two women appeared to be distressed. It was reported that the man had attempted to forcefully leave with one of them after allegedly buying them drinks, claiming there had been an agreement.
However, the situation turned confrontational when the women refused his advances, prompting Mosiria to intervene and ensure they were safe.
The officer successfully de-escalated the incident and no injuries were reported.
The video has since sparked reactions from Kenyans online, with many praising Mosiria for his quick response and concern for public safety.
