Maragua MP, Mary Wamau has been called out for what area residents labeled as laxity in her work.According to Maragua town residents who spoke to our reporter, the MP has neglected her duty in the two and focused all her energy on the far interiors of the Sub-county.
The residents stated that Wamaua who is seeking her second term in the Parliamentary seat has sidelined the town and no tangible developments have been initiated by the legislator.
“She is only focusing on roads which by the way have are being constructed in a small pace. What will we do with roads while water and sewage is flowing freely all around the town,” a resident identified as Sarah Njoki said.
” When we are talking about bursaries, she has prioritized the far sides of this area where there are no top much residents and she will be here posting that she is helping our people. She is only good at stunts and no work is being done, just look at the garbage in the town which is in fact the first stop of all Kenyans accessing Murang’a town,” she added.
The residents also went on to state that if Ichagaki ward MCA, Charles Mwangi will vie for a Parliamentary seat, they will vote him in since he has been in the forefront in fighting and lobbying for developments in his ward and Maragua Constituency at large.
They stated that Mwangi’s track record is what Maragua needs and not a leader who is only interested in stunts.
