A Kakamega man has been killed by his three sons after he allegedly stole their phone.
The 56-year-old man from Shikangania village, Lurambi Constituency, Kakamega County is said to have broken into the sons cubicle and stole a smartphone that the three had jointly bought.
The three, two in high school and one in primary are said to have descended on their father with kicks and blow inflicting serious injuries on him and dumped his body in a bush.
“The deceased used to reside in Nairobi and had only come home for the funeral of our neighbour who died recently. He was part of the team that was digging the late neighbour’s grave when his sons called,” Joyce Nanzekho, sister of the deceased said.
“This incident has shocked me. I have stayed with these boys since their parents separated but I have never imagined they could kill their father,” Keya Leonida, the deceased mother said.
The reports were confirmed by Kakamega OCPD, David Kabeya who said that the three are currently in police custody.
