6 people killed as Toyota Probox collides head-on with a lorry in Duka Moja  Kericho County

On the evening of Monday, April 8, tragedy struck as six individuals lost their lives in a devastating collision in the vicinity of Duka Moja, situated within Kericho County. The incident unfolded when a privately owned Toyota Probox attempted to overtake several vehicles along the Kericho-Nakuru Highway, ultimately resulting in a fatal head-on collision with an approaching lorry.

Confirming the grim occurrence, Rift Valley Traffic Commander Dorothy Muleke provided details, highlighting the reckless maneuvering of the Probox driver as the primary cause of the accident. The impact claimed the lives of all six occupants aboard the Kericho-bound Probox instantaneously, while one individual sustained severe injuries and was promptly transported to a medical facility in critical condition.

Following the crash, additional victims were swiftly conveyed to various hospitals within the Kericho vicinity for urgent medical attention.
