Purity Kendi, the Meru mama mboga whose private video went viral and subjected her to intense public shame and heartbreak, finally has a reason to smile again.
After enduring weeks of humiliation and emotional pain, Kendi has received a generous reward from Comfort Homes, a real estate company that has offered her a plot at Juja Farm and appointed her as one of its brand ambassadors.
The firm’s management said the gesture was meant to help her rebuild her life and inspire others facing social stigma to keep hope alive. “We believe in second chances. Everyone deserves the opportunity to start afresh, and Purity’s courage to come forward with her story touched us deeply,” the company said.
Kendi’s ordeal began when her private video was leaked online, sparking harsh criticism from the public and forcing her to flee her home in fear. She later opened up about the painful experience, revealing how betrayal and shame nearly destroyed her life.
