Kenyan content creator and popular crossdresser Kelvin Kinuthia has once again captured public attention after revealing plans to undergo a uterus transplant surgery.
The announcement came through his Instagram account on Monday, September 8, 2025, where he reflected on how much of his life remains private despite living much of it online.
“Life is so private; no one knows I’m getting a UTX surgery soon,” Kinuthia told his followers, leaving many in shock and sparking heated discussions across social media.
A uterus transplant (UTX) is a highly complex medical procedure, typically offered to women with uterine factor infertility who are unable to carry a pregnancy. While still rare and under research in many countries, the surgery has been performed successfully in select parts of the world.
Kinuthia, however, did not provide details on when or where the procedure would take place, or what his long-term goals are following the transplant. His announcement has left fans and critics speculating about his next chapter.
This is not the first time Kinuthia has opened up about making bold personal decisions. In 2024, he revealed that he had begun a laser hair removal journey aimed at permanently eliminating his beard—a move he said was motivated by both personal comfort and his identity as a crossdresser.
At the time, he explained that constant shaving had become a struggle, especially since he often avoided barbershops due to awkward stares and judgment.
“Sometimes huwa naloose psyche ya kufanya content because I feel I am looking bad,” he admitted, adding that the judgmental looks he received for wearing wigs and braids while seeking male grooming services made him uncomfortable.
Despite the challenges, Kinuthia pressed forward, documenting his hair removal journey under the hashtag #lifewithofficialkinuthia. He thanked his facial therapist for guiding him through the process and described it as the beginning of a more confident chapter in his life.
“Finally, I have started my journey and can’t wait to see the results,” he wrote at the time.
Now, with his announcement about undergoing a uterus transplant, Kinuthia has once again sparked conversation about body autonomy, identity, and the evolving landscape of medical possibilities. While questions linger about his motivations and the feasibility of the surgery, one thing remains clear: Kinuthia continues to challenge norms and push boundaries in ways that keep his name firmly in the public conversation.
