Sad Morning 13 killed in grisly Eldoret-Nakuru Highway road accident

The death toll from the Nakuru-Eldoret accident that occurred in the Migaa area near Salgaa on Tuesday morning has risen to 13.

The tragic incident involved a PSV bus that was part of a multi-vehicle collision around 5 a.m.

Among the 13 victims, five were women, seven were men, and one was an infant.

The death toll increased after more bodies were recovered from the wreckage of the vehicles involved in the crash.

A total of 55 people were injured and have been admitted to various hospitals in the area.

The bus, which was traveling towards Nakuru from Kericho, reportedly lost its brakes as the driver was navigating a steep stretch. It collided with barriers and other vehicles before coming to rest in a ditch.

Rift Valley Regional Police Commander Jasper Ombati confirmed the accident.

This area is notorious for such fatal accidents, and this is the latest tragic event to occur there.
