Kenyan musician Willy Paul has issued a warning to his fans against referring to him as “Bwana Mkunaji.” The self-proclaimed lover man took to his Instagram account to distance himself from the name, stating that it has brought bad luck into his life and has negatively impacted his latest song “Toto.”
In his Instagram post, Willy Paul pleaded with his fans to refrain from using the name “Bwana Mkunaji,” emphasizing that it serves as a warning. He also included the hashtags #Toto and #RICHKID in his post.
Despite Willy Paul’s plea, some of his fans criticized him, arguing that he had referred to himself as “Bwana Mkunaji” in the past, and therefore, he should not blame his fans for echoing the name.

Willy Paul’s warning comes shortly after he admitted that adopting the name had caused endless battles in his life. As a result, he has renounced the name and wants his fans to respect his decision.
