In a move that’s left many stunned, retired police officer Patrick Kimaro has taken charge of his final journey by building a KSh 7 million grave and purchasing a KSh 3 million coffin—well in advance of his death.
Kimaro, known for his disciplined career in the force, said his decision was driven by a desire to avoid burdening his family when the inevitable happens. “I don’t want anyone to struggle when my time comes. I’ve already done what needs to be done,” he reportedly said.
The grave, constructed with premium materials, is not just a burial site—it’s a carefully designed resting place with architectural finesse. Kimaro emphasized that he wanted to rest in dignity, just as he lived—with order and preparation.
His rare foresight has sparked conversation online, with some praising his proactive approach, while others questioned whether the millions could have been better used elsewhere.
