Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro has delivered an explosive address criticizing President William Ruto’s approach to accountability and public scrutiny. Speaking passionately, Nyoro stated:
“Rais wetu tumekuwa tukikuheshimu hata wakati wewe unatudhulumu, tukikuambia ukweli unasema hutaki maswali!”
In his remarks, Nyoro accused the president of being intolerant to questions and criticism, despite the respect and loyalty shown by citizens even in difficult circumstances. He argued that leaders must be willing to hear the truth and accept scrutiny, warning that dismissing questions undermines democratic governance and the trust of the people.
The speech has sparked widespread discussion, with supporters praising Nyoro’s courage to speak truth to power, while critics view it as confrontational. His statement underscores ongoing tensions around leadership accountability, public discourse, and the role of elected officials in upholding transparency in government.
