Oga Obinna in Tears as Azeezah Hashim picked by Citizen Tv to replace Willis Raburu in 10/10 Show

Media personality Oga Obinna has encountered a significant setback as his aspirations to replace Willis Raburu on Citizen TV’s 10/10 show have culminated in a disappointing outcome. Confidential reports from insiders have revealed that Aziza Hashim, also known as Azeezah, and Gudah Man have been chosen by Royal Media Services-owned station Citizen TV to assume control of the popular youth-oriented program.

Just a few days ago, Oga Obinna vehemently asserted that he was the ideal candidate for the role, citing his extensive experience in the media sector. The host from Kiss FM maintained that he was the most qualified contender, assuring the Kenyan public that he was destined for the position.

Azeezah bid farewell to NTV over the past weekend, according to credible sources indicating her imminent move to Citizen TV.

During the weekend, Azeezah officially parted ways with NTV after a two-year stint. She expressed her commitment to returning to television with a project that would be more substantial and impressive.

The accomplished media personality hosted her final episode of “Teen Republik” on August 12, 2023. During this broadcast, she took the opportunity to extend her gratitude to her viewers and fans for their unwavering support.

“I’m finding it hard to convey this because I woke up today and shed quite a few tears. As of today, this marks my final show on Teen Republik,” she emotionally shared.

She continued, “Over the last two years, we’ve given it our all and it’s been an incredible journey of learning. It’s been a complete 360-degree experience – my wig fell off on the very first show, and on my last show, it happened again,” Azeezah reminisced.

Azeezah also took a moment to express her appreciation to NTV management for granting her the opportunity to host the Teen Republic show.

“I’d like to express my gratitude for the support I’ve received. My time at Nation Media Group has been an invaluable period of growth. My superiors have entrusted me with numerous opportunities that typically wouldn’t be afforded to someone of my age, and I truly cherish this,” Azeezah added.

The talented host disclosed her intention to take a hiatus from television for the time being, with the promise of returning with a project that is more ambitious and compelling.

“This journey is only beginning to ascend…but first, a brief departure from the world of TV,” Azeezah concluded her parting words.

Azeezah Hashim joined NTV in November 2021 alongside Joseph Maina, stepping in for Tracy Wanjiru and Martin Kimathi who had departed from the show.

Conversely, after a 13-year tenure at Citizen TV, Willis Raburu chose to move on and is currently employed by Governor Johnson Sakaja.
