“Nilitoa ex Wangu Carol Sonnie Kando Ya Barabara Akiuza Chipo Mwitu alafu Akaanza Madharau”, Mulamwah Says

Mulamwah recently appeared on Dr. Ofweneke’s YouTube show, where he opened up about his past relationship with Carol Sonnie, which came to an end in 2021.

During the conversation, Ofweneke asked about the reason behind the breakup, to which Mulamwah explained, “There was a recurring issue. It had happened before, and every time I saw it happening again, it troubled me. I decided it was better to end things rather than let it destroy the relationship. I took full responsibility for everything and covered all the medical expenses for both the mother and the child.”

He also hinted that the cause of Sonnie’s behavior might have stemmed from his own financial habits. “I’m not stingy,” he clarified. “If you have the money, you spend it. We came to Nairobi with nothing, taking a bus, planning to hustle for a couple of years before going back. It’s important to remember your roots.”

He elaborated, “Just because I live in a Ksh 9,000 house doesn’t mean I don’t have money. I’ve got over a million in the bank. But it doesn’t make sense to spend Ksh 8,000 on a night out when we’re also paying Ksh 2,000 to someone to take care of our cows. Where I come from, money is valued. Ksh 1,000 can support my grandmother for two weeks. You can’t convince me to blow 10-15k a night without any accountability.”

Mulamwah stressed that the root of the conflict was their differing views on spending habits. He explained that Sonnie, seeking a partner who could meet her desires, eventually looked elsewhere.

“That was the problem,” Mulamwah said. “These ladies have certain expectations, and if they can’t find them here, they’ll look for them somewhere else. That was the main issue. Once I realized what was happening, I decided to end things for my peace of mind.” He concluded by emphasizing that the disagreement boiled down to their differing attitudes toward money and how it should be spent.
