Following the dissemination of the disturbing footage, numerous Twitter users shared their varied responses. The video, initially posted by the well-known Twitter user @Kilundeezy, caught the attention of Public News Kenya.

The video portrays a middle-aged woman in a seemingly comfortable kitchen environment. With a cup in hand, she strategically situates herself to collect her urine. Lifting her dress, she proceeds to fill the cup halfway and then pours its contents into what appears to be food already in the cooking process. This action is repeated.

In response to the video, some Kenyans in the comment section speculated that the woman may be a domestic worker seeking revenge against her employer. Citing past incidents where domestic helpers committed offenses against their employers, Kilundeezy emphasized the necessity of installing CCTV cameras.

“It’s crucial to have cameras installed so that maids don’t engage in such activities while in the kitchen.”

Various reactions surfaced, including:

“This emphasizes the importance of ensuring that the house help is an integral part of the household. They should share the same food and sit at the same table. No one should prepare food they won’t consume.”

“In 2019, I had a house help who shared our groceries with the neighbors. I had to limit the amount of food we bought during her two-month stay. Construction workers nearby were having free meals at my place.”

“Before someone resorts to such actions, consider how your wife treats her. If she doesn’t feel loved and part of the family while caring for your children, you might end up with worse incidents than what’s shown in the video.”

“How can I unsee this? Horrible.”

“Unbelievable, it’s awful.”
