The humorous Member of Parliament for Mumias East, Peter Salasya, recently took to Facebook to announce that he is considering hiring a house girl for the first time. This decision follows his frustration with his male cooks who have been preparing the same meals—ugali and sukuma (kale)—every day.
“I’m fed up with eating ugali and sukuma daily, especially when it’s prepared by my fellow men,” Salasya said in a video.
In the video, Salasya also detailed his ideal candidate for the house girl position, specifying that she should be a Gen Z and a skilled cook.
Previously, Salasya had hinted at his intention to find a wife, humorously remarking, “This cold is starting to make me think about getting one woman this year and another next year.”
His single status often sparks public interest, with some women seizing the chance to hold signs proclaiming, “Please marry me, Salasya.”
Salasya has expressed a clear preference for a future spouse who is both a teacher and a virgin. This preference became more evident when he met Ms. Lavyn Shantell, who expressed a strong interest in a relationship with him and readiness to marry.
