Babu Owino takes immense pride in his family, comprising his wife, Faith Muthoni Ongili, and their children. Faith, an accomplished Embakasi East legislator, has been a steadfast pillar of support for Babu throughout his journey, starting from his tenure as the student chair at SONU, University of Nairobi, to his current role as an MP in Nairobi County.
Their love story began during their time at the University of Nairobi, and over the past decade, Babu and Fridah’s bond has grown stronger. After earning a second class upper division in economics from Nairobi University, Fridah Muthoni attended Loreto Girls National School.
Today, the couple is blessed with two beautiful daughters and a son, their firstborn child.

In the words of Shaffie Weru, Babu Owino once expressed his admiration for his wife, stating, “God gave me the best wife, a woman without equal, a woman with a man’s head.”
While Faith’s dedication to politics shines brightly, Fridah has different aspirations. Babu Owino affirms that he does not wish to limit her opportunities in any way and believes she is mature enough to handle independence. He also prays that she will embrace God’s calling in her life.

It is noteworthy that Babu is not advocating for Fridah’s involvement in politics. However, should she choose to pursue a career in public office, he believes she has the best instructor in him, recounting the story with pride.
