Kenyan socialite Sheriffa Wambui, known as Manzi wa Kibera, has openly acknowledged that she has four children. After years of refuting claims of motherhood, Manzi wa Kibera revealed in a recent online interview that she chose to keep her children out of the public eye to protect them from potential bullying.
She stated that she plans to allow her children to appear on social media only once they turn 18, emphasizing her desire to shield them from the negative aspects of fame. She shared that her eldest child, who is 15 years old and in Form 3, is attending an international school, and that two of her other children are also enrolled in international schools.
In her own words: “I decided to protect my kids because, like any parent, you would protect your children too. There’s bullying involved, and I’ve seen others who have exposed their families to the public end up facing criticism. I made a decision to keep my children out of the limelight while I pursue my career in entertainment. I’ll let them be on social media once they reach 18, when they have their own IDs. My firstborn is 15, in Form 3, and goes to an international school. I have two other children in international schools as well.”
Previously, Manzi wa Kibera had denied rumors about her having children or being married. There were allegations about a past abusive marriage, which reportedly did not last.
Recently, she was mourning the death of her 67-year-old boyfriend, with whom she had publicly expressed her love and shared plans to have two children together.
