Manzi wa Kibera , am doing good because I look good

“I shouldn’t be judged. Education bored me around Class 2 or 3, so I dropped out. However, I have certificates from Class 8, Form 4, and a degree in Human Resource and Interior Design,” Manzi wa Kibera stated.

“When it comes to Nairobi, you need to understand how to navigate. I can’t go back to school. For what? Education is a bonus, but if you have a good appearance, you’re on the right path in life. I am doing well because I look good. I can’t suffer,” she confidently shared with Massawe Japanni.

Manzi wa Kibera’s words highlighted her unconventional path. Despite discontinuing her education at an early age, she possessed notable achievements, including certificates from higher levels of education. In her perspective, formal education held less importance compared to personal appearance and self-presentation. According to her, looking good played a crucial role in achieving success and stability in Nairobi, dismissing the notion of returning to school and emphasizing the significance of physical appearance in her journey.
