The Jamaican artist, known by his real name Garfield Spence but popularly as Konshens, made an unexpected detour in the Kenyan capital en route to Uganda, where he is set to headline an event at the Lugogo Cricket Oval on Sunday, December 17, 2023.
Konshens took to his Instagram account to announce his spontaneous visit to Nairobi, sharing a post that read, “En route to Uganda!! See you soon!! But I’m gonna overnight in Nairobi. What’s hot on a Wednesday night in my city?”
Eager to experience the local scene, the dancehall sensation found himself at the renowned Bar Next Door, situated in the heart of Nairobi’s entertainment district.
Word quickly spread, drawing a massive crowd of enthusiastic fans to the venue, all eager to catch a glimpse of Konshens and revel in a night of unforgettable music and dance.
With hits such as “Bruk Off Yuh Back” and “Gal a Bubble” under his belt, Konshens wasted no time getting the audience on their feet.
