“I Quit My Job Because of a Man” Carrol Sonnie Laughs at the Foolishness She Did for Love

Actress Caroline Muthoni Ng’ethe, better known as Carrol Sonnie, recently shared a candid account of a moment in her past when she made a life-altering decision for love.

On a Friday morning, while reminiscing over old photos that had resurfaced on her phone, the former girlfriend of comedian Mulamwah disclosed her story. With a touch of self-deprecating humor, Sonnie acknowledged her decision to quit her job due to a man.

“Wow, here I am, Google Photos reminding me of the impulsive choices I made for love. Can you believe it? I actually left my job because of a man. Muthoni, seriously!” Sonnie humorously recounted on her Instagram.

However, she didn’t specify which of her previous relationships this anecdote referred to. Instead, she encouraged her followers to share their own stories of love-induced foolishness.

Carrol Sonnie’s dating life has largely remained private, aside from her well-documented relationship with popular comedian David Oyando, aka Mulamwah. The pair were together for approximately four years and even welcomed a child together before announcing their separation towards the end of 2021, just a few months after the birth of their daughter.

In December 2021, Sonnie publicly acknowledged their split and expressed her gratitude towards Mulamwah for the time they spent together. She extended her well-wishes for his future endeavors.

“I want to clarify that Mulamwah and I are no longer in a relationship. We have mutually decided to go our separate ways for reasons known to us. Thank you all for the love and support you’ve given us during these four years. Personally, it’s not an easy decision for me,” Sonnie announced in 2021.

She went on to say, “To Mulamwah, thank you so much for allowing me to be part of your life during those years. I am very grateful and will cherish the memories forever. In your upcoming life chapter, I wish you nothing but the best. Keep winning, and may God bless your journey. To my fans, thank you for the support and love you’ve shown me. May God bless each and every one of you. As I continue on this journey, allow me to keep entertaining you with captivating content that I’m sure you’ll love. Remember, the breaking of the cooking stick is not the end of cooking, so we move forward and pray for a better tomorrow. Please continue to support and show your love. Let the work continue!” 😊
