The artist behind the popular song “Kaveve Kazoze,” Ngesh, recently found herself embroiled in a heated argument with one of her fans who took issue with her appearance, going so far as to liken her to a drug addict.
Ngesh shared a post on her official Instagram page, receiving generally positive engagement. However, a subset of her fans chose to criticize her, with one individual asserting that she did not present herself as a girl.
The fan went on to advise Ngesh to adopt a more respectable appearance, asserting that her use of substances like weed and miraa was detracting from her image as a normal lady or “baby girl.” According to this critic, Ngesh’s smoking habits led her to resemble a scarecrow, and it was high time for her to abandon such practices and conform to a more conventional feminine image.
Upon seeing the comment, Ngesh decided to respond, maintaining a positive tone. She expressed confidence in herself, stating that she believes she is superior to the fan in question.
However, the situation escalated when the screenshot of the interaction made its way onto the Instagram page stories of Nairobi Gossip Club. Another fan rallied behind the criticism, asserting that Ngesh’s alleged use of hard drugs was true and that she should renounce such habits to comport herself more like a normal lady.
This incident unfolded against the backdrop of Ngesh and her crew openly discussing financial struggles. They appealed to Kenyans for support, emphasizing that those who had promised assistance had failed to deliver, accusing them of exploiting Ngesh for fame.
