Football Kenya Federation (FKF) President Hussein Mohammed has officially disclosed the ticket sales for the Harambee Stars’ 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Gabon, held at Nyayo National Stadium on Sunday, March 24.
Addressing the media on Tuesday, March 25, Hussein clarified that the stadium was not sold out, noting that its available seating capacity is slightly over 22,000. He revealed that a total of 22,900 tickets were made available for the match, with 17,735 being sold.
Of the tickets purchased, 15,968 were regular tickets priced at Ksh300, while 1,331 VIP tickets were sold at Ksh1,000 each. Additionally, 107 VVIP tickets were bought, further contributing to the match’s revenue.
Hussein also confirmed that earnings were boosted by revenue from 329 car park slots, bringing the total match-day revenue to Ksh6,498,000. His statement aimed to clear up any speculation surrounding ticket sales and reinforce transparency in the federation’s financial affairs.
