Hotel bed slept on by Cristiano Ronaldo in Slovenia up for Ksh700,000 auction

The auction for the hotel bed slept in by Cristiano Ronaldo, the renowned forward for both Portugal and Al Nassr, has garnered attention.

Formerly housed at The Grand Plaza Hotel in Slovenia, the bed accompanied Ronaldo during his stay when Portugal faced Slovenia in an international friendly, resulting in a 2-0 loss for the Portuguese, marking their first defeat in four consecutive matches.

The management of The Grand Plaza Hotel has announced that the proceeds from the bed’s sale will be donated to charity.

Highlighting the exceptional significance of this opportunity, a hotel spokesperson described it as a special and exclusive event for fans.

“In light of the extraordinary circumstances, we’ve decided to create a unique surprise that allows all fans to engage. Hosting Ronaldo in Slovenia was a rare occasion, and thus, we’ve chosen to auction the very bed he slept in during his stay. We wish all participants the best of luck in this special event.”

The opening bid for the bed starts at €5,000, but it’s anticipated to rise rapidly as fervent supporters of Ronaldo vie for the chance to own a piece of furniture that has been graced by one of football’s greatest players.

During the match against Slovenia, Ronaldo’s Portugal faced a 2-0 defeat, with Ronaldo himself playing the entire ninety minutes. Presently, he continues to showcase his talent at Al Nassr, recently achieving a hat-trick in the team’s match against Abha.
