George Saitoti was a Kenyan mathematician and economist who did research in topology. He became a member of the Kenyan parliament and Executive Chairman of the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund. He was killed in a suspicious helicopter crash.
Saitoti was a businessman who had interests in agriculture, horticulture, real estates, hospitality and pastoralism.
Saitoti’s family life received little publicity. His wife, Margaret Saitoti, was with him when the High Court dropped charges in the 16-year Goldenberg case.
Many politicians in the country strive to keep their families away from the glares of the public eye, however, some of them often cross paths with members of the public during various functions or follow in the footsteps of their parents and engage in politics.
His brother, Ronald Musengi, has been a banking executive with the Kenya Commercial Bank. In February 2012, Ronald Musengi applied to be a member of the National Police Service Commission.Zachary Saitoti is the only son of the late George Saitoti
But for Zachary, he managed to chart out a path for himself, away from the prominence and political influence his late father commanded.
Director & Lead Photographer Zachary Saitoti is a Bristol-bred, Nairobi-based full-time Creative Freelance Photographer, Graphic Designer, Professional DJ, Enthusiastic Foodie and Director at Shifteye Limited.
His passion, curiosity and dedication to creativity, art and photography have spanned over fourteen years enabling him to hone his skills in Fashion & Editorial Photography, Landscape & Travel Photography, Food & Beverage Photography, Event Photography and Image Restoration as well as Film Production.
His photography career is definitely taking him places. He recently landed a major gig with Nivea! Yes, Zachary was the man who got the honour of sitting behind the cameras and working his magic on the beauties at the recently concluded Nivea Invisible Black and White Cover model contest. Nivea being an internationally recognized company goes to show how good his work is.
The Nivea Invisible Black and White contest saw former face of Dasani model Deliah Ipupa win with landslide after having garnered 24,352 votes. The winning package included a trip for two to South Africa for the Fashion Week.
All of his friends had a myriad of interesting monikers, so Zachary figured that as a photographer, there was nothing that said he couldn’t also have an interesting pseudo name. This gave birth to the name Shifteye.
Zachary attended Kenton College between 1994 and 1996, before proceeding to join The King’s School, Canterbury, where he studied until 2001.
He had a one-year stint at Seaford College, and later attended the University of the West of England from 2003 to 2006. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design.
