Kenya’s renowned gospel artist, Guardian Angel, also known as Peter Omwaka, recently shared insights into his harmonious relationship with his stepchildren, who are nearly his age. In a recent interview with a local blog, Guardian Angel expressed that he shares a strong bond with all of Esther Musila’s children – Gilda Naibei, Glenn Naibei, and Kim.
“They are mature individuals. We have a solid and healthy relationship,” stated Guardian Angel during the interview.
Esther Musila, on her part, revealed that it wasn’t challenging for her children to connect with their 35-year-old stepfather. She explained that her three children warmly accepted him as a integral part of the family. Musila also hinted that her children easily detected a change in her behavior when she began dating Guardian Angel.
“One day, I informed them that I was in a relationship with Guardian Angel. You know how children react. As their sole parent, they were initially concerned. They feared that my involvement in a relationship might lead to my neglect, but Guardian came into their lives seamlessly, and they bonded well from the start,” she shared.
Addressing criticism from online detractors, Guardian Angel emphasized that he has no regrets about being in a relationship with the 53-year-old Esther. He pointed out that despite societal expectations for men to marry younger women, many marriages have still faced challenges.
“My commitment to my partner goes beyond age. It transcends public opinions because, at the end of the day, it’s about you and your spouse in the privacy of your relationship. Let the online critics continue their discussions on social media,” added the singer.
Guardian Angel asserted that he has remained unfazed by public opinions about his relationship with Esther since the beginning.
