Apostle Anselm Madubuko, husband to celebrated Kenyan gospel singer Emmy Kosgei, has shared a powerful testimony about his past life in Freemasonry and the extraordinary journey that led him to Christ.
Speaking candidly, Madubuko revealed that his introduction to Freemasonry came during his university days, where at just 18 years old, he became heavily involved in campus politics while studying architecture. His role as Director of Socials opened doors to influence, nightlife, and fame. He later worked as a nightclub and radio DJ, cementing his high-profile lifestyle.
At 21, worried about a disturbing family pattern—where all his mother’s sisters had lost their firstborns—he sought protection by joining Freemasonry. Rising quickly, he became a Master Mason by 23 and even led a notorious campus cult known as the Pirates of Fraternity.
“In my final year, I became the master of Pirates of Fraternity. It was a dangerous group; we could tear down cities,” he recalled.
Despite the power, wealth, and influence, Madubuko confessed he lived with a deep emptiness. His turning point came after meeting a humble intern who carried a peace that fame could not buy. Inspired, he prayed for salvation and instantly felt freedom from his old life.
Even so, he initially clung to Freemasonry in hopes of wealth, a decision that strained his relationship with his father. But in time, his faith deepened, eventually leading his father to Christ as well.
His path later crossed with Emmy Kosgei during a church event in Mombasa, sparking a bond that blossomed into marriage.
Today, Apostle Madubuko preaches globally, using his testimony to encourage others entangled in secret societies and the pursuit of power.
“You cannot leave Freemasonry without Christ—you will die trying. But the love of Jesus saved me,” he declared.
