Edna Awuor, the woman who asserts herself as Kelvin Kiptum’s purported mother of his child, Adriel Cherop, has recently disclosed that not only were Kiptum’s parents aware of their shared offspring but also his wife, Asenath Rotich, had knowledge of their relationship.
In a TikTok video disseminated by Eldoret Online TV and Babu Owino TV, Awuor narrated her initial encounter with Kiptum’s family, which transpired years ago when she sought refuge with the athlete after leaving her home. Subsequently, her parents located her, leading to discussions with Kiptum’s parents and a resolution of the situation.
Awuor maintained that Kiptum’s parents were well-acquainted with her and were cognizant of her children with the marathoner.
Expanding on her claims, Awuor contended that even Kiptum’s wife, Asenath Rotich, was privy to the dynamics of their relationship. She asserted that Rotich would reach out to her whenever Kiptum was absent or unresponsive to calls. According to Awuor, she and Rotich maintained a friendship, communicating through WhatsApp.
Edna Awuor alleges, “His parents know me very well and are aware that I have his children. His wife also knows me and used to contact me whenever Kiptum failed to return home or neglected calls. We were friends with the wife and conversed regularly on WhatsApp.”
