CS Wycliffe Oparanya says he will resign if government fails to implement his ideas

Wycliffe Oparanya, the newly appointed Cabinet Secretary for the Ministry of Cooperatives, Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises Development, has issued a strong warning to the government.

Speaking during a church service in South B, Nairobi, on Sunday, August 11, Oparanya expressed that he has heard the voices of the youth across the country, including their urgent pleas for assistance.

Oparanya emphasized his commitment to tackling youth unemployment and vowed to address the crisis head-on.

“The youth have recognized that this old man can help them get the job done. And I will. But if I advise them to take a certain direction and they refuse, I will quit and return home,” he asserted.

He made it clear that he would resign if his advice is ignored, stating, “I see the young people, especially Gen Z, saying they don’t have businesses or jobs. Now that I’m here, I will ensure they get the jobs.”

In the same event, Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka urged Kenyan youth to closely monitor government contract and procurement processes to expose any potential irregularities.
