Kenyan-born US-based political commentator Cosmo Choy has once again stirred controversy after launching a fierce verbal attack on Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, accusing President William Ruto of making a grave mistake by choosing him as his running mate.
In his latest outburst shared on social media, the outspoken critic did not hold back as he harshly criticized both leaders, claiming Gachagua has brought unnecessary tension within the Kenya Kwanza government.
“Ruto ulifanya makosa sana kuokota hii chokoraa inaitwa Gachagua kutoka Mathira. Watu walichagua Kindiki, wewe ukaamua kupea hii nguruwe kiti ya Deputy President, wewe ndiye ulijiletea hii shida yote,” said Cosmo Choy.
Cosmo Choy, known for his hard-hitting opinions and unfiltered political commentary, accused Gachagua of being arrogant and self-centered, claiming that his leadership style is ruining the image of the government.
His comments have ignited heated reactions online, with some Kenyans agreeing that internal wrangles within the Kenya Kwanza camp have become more visible, while others condemned his remarks as disrespectful and unnecessarily insulting.
This is not the first time Cosmo Choy has criticized top Kenyan leaders. The vocal diaspora commentator has often used his online platforms to express his frustrations with the country’s leadership, urging those in power to focus on serving ordinary citizens instead of engaging in political power struggles.
