In a candid interview with Sawa Media, Pastor Robert opened up about the painful journey he shared with his late wife, Florence.
He revealed that before they met, Florence had experienced a traumatic incident where she was sexually assaulted. As a result, she became pregnant and contracted several sexually transmitted infections, including HIV.
Robert shared that despite her condition, Florence later experienced what he describes as a divine healing.
He claims that after her encounter with God, not only did her health improve significantly, but she also turned her life around and devoted herself to ministry work. According to him, this was the beginning of her spiritual transformation.
To support his claims, Robert mentioned that Florence underwent over 30 tests across two different hospitals, all of which later showed no trace of HIV.
This baffled doctors, who continued to retest her. “It’s been over 20 years since she had HIV. The tests kept coming back negative, and the doctors couldn’t explain it. I told them, ‘What’s impossible with science is possible with God,’” he said.
Robert also addressed rumors that he had been unfaithful to Florence and that his actions contributed to her death.
He firmly denied the cheating allegations, stating that Florence had been living with HIV long before they got married, and she had overcome much worse.
“She was strong. People forget that depression didn’t kill her, HIV didn’t kill her. We don’t even know what exactly did because no postmortem was done,” he added.
Despite the controversy, Robert remains steadfast in his faith, holding on to the belief that Florence’s healing was a miracle and her passing a mystery only God can explain.
