Nairobi businessman and political figure Ndegwa Njiru has clarified his stance on current political alliances, distancing himself from Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua and the Democratic Choice Party (DCP).
In a recent statement, Njiru said, “I don’t support Riggy G, and by the way, I am not even a member of DCP!” He emphasized that any assumptions about his political affiliations are incorrect and should not influence public perception.
Njiru’s remarks come amid speculation linking him to various political figures ahead of the 2027 elections. By openly distancing himself, he aims to assert independence and maintain flexibility in his political engagements.
Political analysts say Njiru’s declaration is a strategic move to manage his image and clarify potential misunderstandings, particularly in a landscape where association with prominent leaders can quickly shape public opinion.
As Kenya heads toward the next election cycle, statements like Njiru’s highlight the fluid nature of political alliances and the importance of clarifying one’s position in a highly charged environment.
