The conversation fragment dubbed ‘Moses And The Burning…’ broadcasted on ‘The Trend’, a weekly entertainment show on NTV, where Kuria claims they trivialized his condition.
In an interview, the politician had given an illustrative clarification of how he got the burns and wound up on a hospital bed.
Disappointed after watching the comic show, Kuria made an impression on NTV, faulting them for exploiting his condition to make content.
In his comments, Kuria said that the reason he is ailing is because willing to open up was distinctly to make public awareness, and encourage them to avoid items not endorsed by the Kenya Bureau of Standards.
“Dear NTV Kenya, the reason I spoke out was to warn the public on the dangers of using products and devices not approved by KEBS and/or Pharmacies and Poisons Board,” an excerpt from his statement reads.
Kuria further noted that it was tactless for the show host and specialists to use his condition for the sake of entertainment, further chastising them saying he comprehends their lack of content.
“It was not to provide fodder to your comedy shows, much as I understand your content dry spell,” his statement read.
His opinions were backed by a part of the public who disgraced the show for joking with the MP’s condition while he was as yet unwell.
They requested that the TV station apologizes to Kuria.
“It’s a taboo to make fun, laugh or joke with the illness of someone who isn’t even healed. You’ve stooped too low. Say sorry to Moses,” one of the remarks from the public reads.
