Dennis Itumbi has today encountered a cold reception from attendees during the funeral of comedian KK Mwenyewe in Githirioni village, Limuru.
However in the midst of the heckles, Itumbi stood his ground and continued with his tribute to the comedian
Visibly annoyed amidst the cheers, Itumbi continued unshaken as he dares the mourners to continue shouting all they want.
In his speech, Itumbi emphasized that it is the government’s responsibility to ensure that content creators receive their earnings.
Itumbi statement reads; “You may shout as much as you wish, but these content creators require money in their pockets. We will guarantee that funds reach them.”
Itumbi also used the opportunity to declare that fellow content creator and friend of KK Mwenyewe, comedian Kafengo, would soon be presented with a job opportunity.
The funeral attracted numerous mourners who came together to pay their respects to KK Mwenyewe, renowned for his comedic impersonations of Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.
The comedian passed away while undergoing treatment at Kiambu Level 5 Hospital.
