My tenant slashed all my tyres-Njoro of Papa Shirandula narrates

Ken Gichoya, who acted as Njoro in Papa Shirandula, has affectionately recalled how his mum pushed him to invest adding that today he is a landlord.

Talking during an appearance on Weekend Edition, facilitated by Dr. Kingori, the winning entertainer shared;

“My mum used to push me to invest. She would tell me to buy land instead of a car. She told me one day I might look back and be shocked because I had nothing to show for it. Do not wait till you get a huge amount of money. Use the little money you have.”

Njoro says being a landlord is difficult as certain tenants are cunning.

He welded the door of a tenant who had refused to pay her rent for 6 months.

“I once welded someone’s door for refusing to pay rent, the lady was older than my mum. She used to brag about how old she was and how she had older kids than me, yet they have never pushed her out.

She asked me to wait till she gets money.

So on one occasion I came with my two children and promptly the woman spotted us she got into the house locked the door and put off the lights.

At the point when she saw how serious we were she pleaded with us to let her out. She had to ask her church members to contribute for her.

I moved from Rongai and my boys to help me weld. I drove a probox with the goal that I can invest what reason would I feel bad because of receiving sadaka ya sunday moja?”

Sharing another nasty experience with a tenant Njoro narrated

“I have a plot in Kiserian and my tenant cut all my car tires. He had paid rent but I had not seen the message.

He found me at a nearby bar where he found me, he requested that I go with him to his place where he requested that his better half give me some tea.

The tea was thrown to my face. Since that day tuliheshimiana.”
