There was drama in Kirinyaga after a group of youths chased Governor Anne Waiguru after she tried to address the residents during her ongoing tours.
According to reports, the youths were chanting Kirinyaga County Women Rep, Purity Ngirici’s name.
A scared Waiguru is said to have fled the scene to avoid a confrontation with the rowdy youths.
The youths blamed Waiguru for allegedly sidelining them and her constant development project lies.
Waiguru is said to have got into her car and sped off leaving a cloud of dust serving a reminder of her humiliation by the area residents.
This is not the first time for the governor to find herself in a rough patch with the residents.
