Valentine Nekesa: COTU Boss Atwoli Daughter Who Became a CEO When She Was 17 Years Old

COTU boss Francis Atwoli who has always been on the spot for marrying several wives, has been blessed with 17 children.

While speaking during a past interview, the vocal COTU CEO openly revealed that he has a total of 91 kids, 17 biological and 74 who are not biological.

First and foremost, Valentine became popular across the country back in 2017 when she emerged victorious at Blaze be your own Boss competition.

The daughter of Atwoli walked home with a total of Sh5 million with Sh3 million in capital and Sh2 million in terms of mentorship, business support and financial support. 

How Valentine Nekesa ended up to be part of Francis Atwoli family

Valentine was adopted by the COTU boss together with his wife Rosalinda after her mother died. 

Previously, she was living in a large family but sadly, her mother passed away.

Valentine Nekesa the CEO and her journey to success

Francis Atwoli daughter, Valentine started her journey immediately after she sat her KCSE exams in 2014.

Prior to working on her ideas, Valentine Nekesa had interest in fashion while in school and she even had a sketchbook with different designs.

“Just after I sat my KCSE in 2014 and was thinking about getting serious with fashion, a friend asked for an outfit. I only had Ksh 1,000 with me, which I used to buy fabric at Ksh 450 and the tailor charged me Ksh 500..” Valentine recalls as per Kenyans.co.ke

At the time of completing her high school education, Valentine was only 17 and it is when she founded her own company, V-Design, or Nekesa Queens Ltd. 

Her biggest achievement is emerging number 14 at Top 40 under 40 women in Kenya in 2017.
