The top university in Asia has changed, as Peking University has taken the place of National University of Singapore, which had been in the top position for the past four years. The ranking was conducted by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), a British company that analyses higher education institutions and releases an annual ranking of the best universities in the world. This year, QS ranked 757 institutions in Asia that have both undergraduate and graduate programs, up from 687 last year. The ranking was determined by examining 11 metrics, including academic and employer reputation, faculty to student ratio, faculty with PhDs, and international students. QS released the ranking on November 8, 2021. To find out which universities are ranked in the remaining positions, readers can visit QS’ website.
