Brian has previously made headlines for a related incident. In an earlier case, he was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence in Nairobi’s Central Business District. He was fined Ksh 30,000 but told the court he could only afford Ksh 10,000, claiming his father declined to assist with bail. Friends later helped secure his release.
