Maseno University student Diana has disclosed that she has transmitted HIV to a number of individuals, including lecturers.
The confident student has stated that she has engaged in sexual encounters with 273 men and has set a goal to do the same with another 1,000 individuals within the next four years.
In a startling Facebook post, Diana candidly shared her situation, revealing, “I would like to address this group. I am currently a first-year student at Maseno University, where I was admitted at the beginning of 2017. While I may possess good looks, I also carry the burden of being HIV positive.
Since my enrollment at Maseno University, I have been involved with 273 students and 3 lecturers, and my count continues to rise. I made this choice after realizing that I could not bear the thought of facing this disease alone, leaving millions of other Kenyans in peace. I believed that I needed to share this burden.”
Diana went on to explain that she contracted the virus from a neighbor after completing high school. The emotional pain she experienced upon learning of her HIV status never truly subsided, ultimately leading her to make choices that she now deeply regrets. She added, “I now feel a sense of relief knowing that many of my peers are receiving treatment through ARV therapy.”
In her life at Maseno, Diana maintains a facade of well-being, and when confronted by those she has infected, she retorts with the question, “Did I force you?”
She concluded her post by hinting that she intends to disclose the names of those she has affected in the near future.
