A family in Bondonya–Mosiabano village, Bobasi, is seeking justice after their daughter, who had been missing for five months, was allegedly murdered by her boyfriend and secretly buried inside his house.
According to the family, the young woman had been living with her boyfriend at Egetuki in Bomachoge Chache before she suddenly disappeared. Multiple efforts to trace her over the months did not bear fruit, leaving the family distressed but hopeful that she would eventually return home.
The truth emerged in a shocking turn of events when the suspect reportedly contacted the deceased’s sister through Facebook. He did not use his own account but instead logged into a friend’s account and sent a message claiming he knew where the missing woman’s body was.
In the message, he directed the sister to his house and revealed that he had buried the body under his bed.
The family immediately alerted authorities. Police officers rushed to the suspect’s residence, where they searched the room and discovered the body hidden beneath the bed, as described. The revelation left the family devastated as they finally learned what had happened to their daughter after months of uncertainty.
When officers went to arrest the suspect, he allegedly panicked upon seeing them and attempted to take his own life by consuming poison. Police quickly intervened and rushed him to Ogembo Hospital, where he is currently receiving treatment under tight security.
According to officials, he will be arraigned in court once he is stable enough to face charges related to the murder.
The grieving family is now demanding justice and urging authorities to ensure the case is handled thoroughly and fairly. They say no parent should have to endure the pain of losing a child in such a cruel and concealed manner.
