Furthermore, KUCCPS announced the closure of the university and college application portal on March 5, 2024, due to the expiration of the set deadline. This closure facilitates the processing of applicants’ choices.
KUCCPS assured candidates who missed the application deadline that they would have another opportunity during the first revision of choices.
“The KUCCPS application portal has been closed. Another opportunity to apply will be available during the first revision of choices,” KUCCPS stated.
The application process, which commenced on February 7, 2024, encountered technical challenges, leading to two deadline extensions. On March 1, a joint technical team resolved issues affecting applicants’ payments on the E-citizen portal.
Following these interventions, KUCCPS reported a significant increase in application success rates.
“Consequently, 22,307 students have successfully submitted their applications on the KUCCPS portal within the last 24 hours. This marks the highest number of successful applicants within a 24-hour period since the application process began on February 7, 2024,” KUCCPS announced.
By the close of business on March 1, 2024, KUCCPS revealed that 144,102 (72.2%) out of 199,695 students who scored a mean grade of C+ and above in the 2023 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examination had applied.
