“Wanasema vile Raila amekufa, eti nitakuwa political orphan. Lakini hapa nimeona tuko wengi tunalia. Hata nitakuwa chairman wao,” Junet said, drawing cheers and laughter from the crowd.
His lighthearted yet emotional comment underscored the deep bond he shared with the late ODM leader. Junet, one of Raila’s closest allies, has been a constant presence by his side throughout many political battles, campaigns, and negotiations.
