Gachagua Reveals the Amount Samidoh Earns as a Police Officer, Defends his Recent Karen Visit

Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagu, has come out to defend popular Mugithi artist and police officer Samidoh Muchoki, following public criticism over his recent visit to the Deputy President’s residence in Karen.

Gachagua explained that Samidoh did not go there out of his own personal will, but because he was officially assigned to go as a police officer.

He said that ignoring such an assignment, would have led to serious consequences.

Speaking during an interview, Gachagua added that Samidoh has always done his job as a police officer, despite the fact that he earns very little from the police service.

“He earns only KSh 40,000 per month, yet he can make much more in a single weekend from his music,” Gachagua said.

He questioned why the government would treat such a dedicated, and talented officer unfairly.

Gachagua went on to say that Samidoh was recently transferred to Baringo County, a region known for insecurity and cattle rustling.

According to him, this transfer was not fair and appeared to be a setup.

“Sending Samidoh to Baringo was a trap. That place is dangerous. It looks like someone wanted him to fall into trouble,” Gachagua stated.

Because of this, Gachagua advised Samidoh to remain abroad, where he is currently staying.

He said it is better for him to be safe and focus on his music career, which has brought him more income and fame.

Samidoh has been under fire recently, with reports claiming that he had absconded his duties as a police officer.

However, Gachagua insists that the musician is being unfairly targeted and mistreated despite his efforts to serve the country as a police officer.
