Brand Finance, the globally acclaimed brand valuation consultancy, has named Equity Bank as Kenya’s most valuable company, a recognition of its strategic expansions both locally and regionally.
Despite grappling with significant economic challenges, Equity Bank has maintained its brand value, recording a modest 1 percent growth to reach an impressive Sh65.8 billion, according to the latest data from Brand Finance. In a statement, the bank expressed pride in once again earning the title of Kenya’s most valuable brand, emphasizing its resilience and consistent growth in the face of adversity. This achievement cements Equity Bank’s leadership in Kenya’s financial sector.
Additionally, the report highlights the exceptional rise of CIC Insurance Group, which has emerged as Kenya’s fastest-growing brand. With a remarkable 63 percent increase in brand value to Sh1.9 billion, CIC Insurance attributes this growth to its improved Brand Strength Index score of 82.98.
The report also showcases significant growth among other prominent Kenyan brands. NCBA recorded a 44 percent increase, reaching Kes 19.7 billion, while Centum Investment Company grew by 36 percent to Kes 713.8 million. Kenya Airways (KQ) also posted notable growth, with its brand value rising by 38 percent to Kes 6.4 billion.
