Deputy President Kithure Kindiki has launched a sharp rebuke at Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, questioning his relevance and authority in the political arena.
Speaking during a recent rally, Kindiki told Gachagua:
“Sasa wewe Gachagua ni kiongozi ya nani? Wewe ni kiongozi wa bibi yako na watoto wako, kwako nyumbani. Wewe utaona fire.”
The remarks appear to be a direct challenge to Gachagua’s political influence, suggesting that his leadership appeal is limited and that he should focus on personal matters rather than claiming authority over the broader political landscape.
Kindiki’s statement has already stirred reactions online, with supporters applauding his boldness and critics accusing him of inflaming political tensions. Analysts say this exchange reflects the rising heat in internal party politics as leaders position themselves ahead of upcoming elections.
