A concerned resident of Busia County has voiced frustrations over poor healthcare services and questionable development projects in the region during a visit by Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna.
“Hospitali hii yetu ya Busia haitusaidii, dawa hakuna,” the resident complained.
He further criticized a recently completed cabro project in the town, questioning its quality and cost.
“Kitu ya pili, hizi cabros umeona hapa Busia leo ni kazi ya jana, na hata simiti bado haijakauka, na over sh120 million imetumika,” he added.
The remarks drew attention online, with many Kenyans supporting the resident’s concerns and calling for accountability and transparency in county projects. Sifuna, who was in Busia for a public function, listened keenly to the grievances, though he has yet to issue a public response to the claims.
