From there, they began an emotional procession on foot, escorting the casket all the way towards Kasarani Stadium. Viral photos and videos shared online show massive crowds stretching from Globe Roundabout in Nairobi’s CBD all the way to Kasarani, waving flags, singing liberation songs, and chanting Raila’s name.
Due to the overwhelming number of mourners, authorities have confirmed that the public body viewing will take place at Kasarani Stadium instead of Parliament, to accommodate the large turnout.
